Vanities for Small Bathrooms

We’ve said it before, one of the most hardworking pieces of furniture in any bathroom is the vanity. And, in a smaller space or powder room, it has to work even harder because bathroom vanities play a huge part in not only defining the overall look or aesthetic of the space but also has to be functional. So, when your bathroom is short on space, the right vanity can help you live larger than the square footage.

Here a few samples of some vanities that may work perfectly for your next renovation project, and they are available at your local Avalon Flooring Showroom!

TOLEDO

The Toledo Vanity Collection combines a clean-lines profile with machine aged details in a modern approach to bath decor. Highlighting the innate beauty of the wood is a sand blasted Driftwood Gray Finish (as shown), perfectly complemented by the charcoal finished metal framework and antique brass finished hardwood.

The Toledo Vanity Collection comes in 24″, 30″, 36″, 48″, and 60″ sizes with varied configurations including door and drawer options. See store for bowl options and coordinating mirrors, medicine cabinets and linen cabinets.

CHARLOTTESVILLE

Our Charlottesville Vanity collection features simple lines with a distinctive base molding. The decorative nickel finish gives an edge to this transitional look which offers popular color options of light gray (as shown) or vintage black.

There are two narrow depth vanities available within this collection – an 18” or 21” depth, both of which offer you storage space and a style that’s just right for your next bathroom renovation!

Another great way to save space in a smaller bathroom is to use a wall mounted vanity. And lucky for you, the Charlottesville collection offers a few great options! Wall mounted vanities are ideal for some because:

  1. Make your bathroom look bigger and allows for more usable space below the vanity for items like a waste basket, a toddler step stool or the dreaded scale!
  2. Makes cleaning easier! No corners or nooks and crannies to squeeze the vacuum or broom into.
  3. Can accommodate for every height. A standard height on a vanity only rises so high, but with a wall mounted or “floating” vanity you can adjust to the perfect height (short or tall) to accommodate the everyday user.
  4. Allow your fancy tile work to remain on display! Why cover up that new bathroom floor with a vanity?

Here are a few options of the from the Charlottesville Collection that are narrow depth and wall mounted:

If you want a pop of color for your space, try out the Cherie Bathroom Vanity in Royal Blue! (Don’t worry, if you like the overall look, it comes in a more natural wood look tone too).  The Cherie Vanity maximizes storage space with two U-Shape drawers featuring compartment boxes and an open bottom shelf for additional storage.

With turned legs, cup style handles and a rich finish, the bold and unique design of the Cherie will elevate any bathroom (big or small) to the next level! (shown is 24” x 18”)

Important Note:
All products featured are less than 21” in depth and area a part of the vanity collections we carry that offer sizes up to 72” for all your storage and design needs, some with coordinating pieces like mirrors, linen cabinets and more.

For reference, the standard vanity depth is approximately 21” or more. But you can gain floor space in a small bath by trimming at least part of the vanity to 18, 15, or even 12 inches deep.

Now that we’ve gone over the highlights of just a few of the narrow depth bathroom vanities we carry, it’s time to come and see them (and many more!) in person at one of our locations! We recommend seeing the vanities in person prior to purchasing so you can see and feel the materials, the colors and of course check out all the storage options.
