Like solid hardwood, your engineered wood floor can become dented and scratched over time. To prevent damage and scratches, fit felt pads on heavy pieces of furniture that might have to be moved across the floor, like beds, coffee tables, and couches. Also, keep in mind that heeled shoes will dent an engineered wood floor, so it's helpful to avoid walking across these floors in heels when possible.
How to Remove Scuff Marks from Engineered Wood Floors

You can often avoid scuff marks on your engineered wood floors by placing protective pads under the feet of your furniture. However, if you do discover scuff marks on your engineered hardwood, there are a few easy tricks you can do to remove them.
Take a damp sponge and rub the scuffed area of the floor. This alone may be enough to remove the scuff mark. If not, follow up by rubbing a clean pencil eraser over the scuff mark, which should help remove the mark from the engineered wood. Wipe the area again with the sponge to remove eraser shavings. Make sure to dry the floor with a towel to avoid further damage!
